Parent Commitment

As a co-op we are parent led. This means not only do you get to be part of the decisions for the school, but you also get to be active in your child’s learning! Please read our parent commitments below as these responsibilities are essential for our school to run.

1) Volunteer in class 3-5 times a month (dependent on enrollment)

  • This obligation may be fulfilled by a parent, grandparent or family friend with a passing background check

2) Sign up for one out-of-class helping job per year (maintenance and repair, disinfecting toys, deep cleaning the classroom, etc.)

3) Sign up for one support job (playdough, laundry)

3) Be involved in planning one special event (like the holiday program) and one fundraiser (bottle drop collection, pizza cards, pledges, etc.)

4) Work a shift during the OCP Taco Sale (an important event for fundraising and community awareness for the school - takes place during the Oakland City Wide Garage Sale, the 3rd Saturday in May)
